Student Proposal Competition

Introduction

The theme for the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day Hong Kong 2026 is "Strengthening Resilience in a Connected World". This year's Student Proposal Competition aims to guide students in developing specific, innovative solutions centered around this core direction: Community Response Solution – "Digital Support Network for Our Community".

This theme invites you to identify a specific challenge your community faces (for example: communication breakdown during typhoons or heavy rain, difficulties for the elderly in accessing accurate emergency information, or ensuring safe online learning for students during school closures) and develop a practical technology tool or social media initiative. The focus is on creating a simple, user-friendly solution that helps your community prepare quickly, stay connected, and receive vital information during a disruption.
